Thank you for applying for the SSIEM ETAC Academy 2026.

Please note that the SSIEM ETAC Academy has changed format for 2026. The curriculum has changed to a 3-year format, with each Academy lasting 3 days which will allow more people access.
 
The 2026 Academy covers the following topics:
  • Amino acid disorders
  • Urea cycle defects
  • Organic acidemias
  • Disorders of cobalamin metabolism
  • Neurotransmitter disorders
 
The required application documents have changed slightly. All applicants should fill out this application form and submit it below. Additionally we also require a letter from the Head of Department of each applicant to support their application which includes a guarantee to release you to attend the Academy if your application is successful.
 
Please note, if you have attended an Academy in the past, please check the topics to see if you have covered them previously and indicate on the application form that you missed out on these topics with the previous curriculum.
