SOCIETY FOR THE STUDY
OF INBORN ERRORS OF METABOLISM

In 2020, the Journal of Inherited Metabolic Disease began a podcast as an accompaniment to the written journal. The podcast is published fortnightly and features authors from the journal being interviewed about recent papers. It’s a great way to catch up on journal content and to hear authors sharing the stories behind their work.

The podcast has attracted a large following, with episodes regularly attracting more than 1000 plays. Featured papers are made temporarily Free to Read after the podcast is released, so if you want to find out more, you can just click on the link in the podcast description.

Since the start of 2022, we have also invited authors from JIMD Reports to record brief audio descriptions of their papers. These ‘Shortcasts’ are intended to capture those brief conference interactions when you stop to hear more about a poster. Found in the same place as the main podcast, these help to hi-light the fantastic breadth of material published in JIMD Reports.

You can find the podcast at the links below or by searching for JIMD Podcasts in google or wherever you like to listen.
