A decision will be made within 4 weeks of the closing date.

The SSIEM Academy will be holding a 2 day training course in Manchester, UK on Monday October 4th & Tuesday October 5th 2010.

Two parallel courses will be held; one for clinicians and the other for laboratory scientists. The programmes for both courses will cover similar topics and some sessions will be combined. Teaching will as interactive as possible and in addition to lectures will involve workshops and case discussions.

The programme will include disorders of

• Purines and pyrimidines
• Mucopolysaccharides & oligosaccharides
• Peroxisomes

There is no charge for the course and accommodation (including breakfast and lunch) will be provided.

Applications are open to clinicians and laboratory scientists training in inherited metabolic disease. The application process will be online and will be available on the SSIEM website by the middle of May.
