About the Society
The Dutch society was founded in 1988 and currently has more than 150 members. In 1995 the name of our society was changed to "Society for the Study of Inborn Errors of Metabolism in the Dutch Language Area" so that our Dutch speaking neighbours feel welcome to join. We organize two annual meetings. The spring meeting is organized by one of the Dutch or Belgium metabolic centers. The autumn meeting is organized by the board, where especially the young people are encouraged to present their data. Furthermore, we organize postgraduate educational meetings for medical and laboratory specialists.
