International Conference on Ureagenesis Defects: Novel Models and Treatment Options
Venue: Hotel Saratz in Pontresina, Engadin, Switzerland,
Time: March 19 – 21, 2018 (arrival March 18, departure March 22)
Scope of the Meeting: Focus of the planned meeting will be novel models and treatment options for genetic defects of ureagenesis and related conditions. The aim of this meeting is to bring together innovative scientists, both working in the lab or in clinics, to exchange ideas for developing therapeutic alternatives. The meeting is limited to approximately 50 people, including the organizing teams.
Arrival is on Sunday March 18 and departure on Thursday, March 22, 2018. There will be mainly oral presentations (based on abstract submission), and sessions will be held from Monday to Wednesday.

Publication: The meeting’s proceedings will be published as a Special Issue in the Journal of Inherited Metabolic Disease.
Pre-registration and Abstract Submission: This International Conference on Ureagenesis Defectsaims for active participation of all attendees. Due to limited space, participants will be selected by the members of the International Scientific Committee based on abstract content. Decision on acceptance of submitted abstracts and thus participation in the meeting will be made by end of November 2017. Authors of selected abstracts will be informed and invited to participate by e-mail beginning of December 2017. Authors of selected abstracts will receive an invoice for registration (registration will cover accommodation for 4 nights plus breakfast and dinner in the Hotel Saratz; registration fee is 750 USD). Depending on the availability of funds for the meeting we will provide some younger participants with travel awards on the basis of financial need and abstract interest as perceived by the International Scientific Committee. Participants will have to organize their own travel and cover their travel expenses (see travel section on how to get to the venue).
